Youth Sunday at Cedar Cross Worship

This Sunday, November 24 is Youth Sunday! The youth of Cedar Cross will conduct our worship services at 8:45 and 11:00am. Except for music, both services are identical.

In the call to worship, the youth will proclaim, “Let us worship God as children, with wonder and awe.” Sawyer Amundson and Jocelyn Matheny will visit with the young children during Children’s Time. Eleanor Molver will sing “Whole New World” by the famous contemporary children’s composer, Alan Menken. The scripture, Ruth 1:6-17, will be read by Kenneth Clarke and Jocelyn Matheny will offer the message, “Unseeing Followers”.

The Cedar Cross Praise Band, conducted by Brad Davidson, and vocalists provide music at the 8:45am service. The songs include, “Trading My Sorrows” (We say, yes Lord, yes Lord, yes, yes Lord!), and “Shout To the Lord” (My Jesus, my Savior, Lord there is none like You”). The 11:00 service will have traditional hymns and the Chancel Choir anthem.

Both worship services include the Sacrament of Holy Communion. In the United Methodist Church, everyone is welcome at the Lord’s Table. After worship we invite you to stay for coffee and fellowship.
